How We Work

Who We Are

We are a small team of professional proofreaders and editors and provide a reliable and affordable proofreading service to students and academics. All our editors come from an academic background with a BA degree from a UK univeristy, and all have extensive experience of editing dissertations and PhD theses.

The editing process

When you submit your work to us, it will be assigned to one of our editors. They will then proofread your document using Track Changes in Microsoft Word.

Any queries or comments from the editor will be left as comments alongside the text. If the editor feels a section needs substantive rewriting, they will leave their suggested alternative wording as a comment for your attention. Sometimes, the editor may need to contact you to query consistencies in spellings, formatting, etc.

We will return two versions of your work - an edited version showing all our track changes, and a final (clean) version showing all those changes made.

Microsft Word is always our preferred format, but we can proofread other formats, such as Adobe PDF, Google Docs, Open Source etc.
